The battery is hot and abnormal, and is no longer working
One of customer who ordered 36v 15.6Ah Samsung cells 2600mah downtube battery which has extra output cable 12v 1A. And BMS 30A like the following photos.
The thinner cable is 12v 1A for front and rear light use. Because customer's light is 12v, but not 36v, so it is have to have extra cable for light. But now there is meet some questions. Those battery are all use of the following tricycles.
Hope those problem could help customer chose the right battery. I will have another blog to discuss how to chose the right battery cells base on different wattage motor and controller current.
Customer's problem and reasons.
Question 1 : The battery is hot and abnormal, and is no longer working:
Answer:
30 a current discharge, the battery heating high temperature is normal phenomenon,
the protection plate has temperature control protection, higher than 60 ℃ will automatically disconnect the discharge system.
Question 2：When the battery is not charging. The charger lamp flashes green or green / red after 30 minutes.
Answer :
2.1： The battery is full of electric status, the protection plate has the pressure protection,
when the battery and charger without release, the charger will have green light, red and green flashing is normal.
2.2： They don't work when we try to use them in the car.
2.2：1：The power switch is not turned off since the last use, resulting in the protection plate not being restored to the discharge system
The discharge current is higher than the limiting current of the protection plate,
resulting in the damage of the protective plate discharge mos
Question 3：The battery looks normal, but stops working every five minutes
Answer 3：1 The discharge current is higher than the protective plate current,
2:Due to the 12v output power cord, the three voltages are low and the discharge state is unbalanced.
Welcome to discuss and give me some suggest to avid and explain to customers. Why we have to learn the battery use on which motor wattage and controller current before ordered.
